A market changing power tool for the marine fabrication industry.
QuicKerr’s founder, Jim Kerr, is a veteran of the marine fabrication and boat covering industry. For years, he has installed thousands of snap fasteners, by hand, in the pursuit of his business.
Convinced that there was a better way to install snaps with a power assisted tool, Jim approached Tungsten to take on the development of this world’s first battery powered tool.
Working closely with Jim as a subject matter expert in the field, Tungsten’s team of designers approached the problem with open ears.
Through numerous brainstorming sessions with our client, we developed a system concept that fit the bill. Ergonomics and human factors were a primary concern in the styling of the QuicKerr Snap.
Powered from an OEM 20V, rechargeable Lithium-Ion battery, the tool promises many, many snap installations between charges.
Through the use of disposable tubes, the snap fasteners are loaded into the system, which separates, retains, and completes the installation operation at the press of a button. When a tube is emptied, the user simply removes, replaces, and continues along their way.
The preloaded tubes are orderable directly from QuicKerr’s website, and dropship directly to the shop in need.
